Facebook recently launched its new 'beacon' technology. Which lets companies put a piece of code on their order conformation page to track what facebook users are purchasing. It comes with one huge flaw its a opt-out feature instead of opt-in. Say I am buying a christmas present for someone and they view my page - now they might not know it was for them - but they know i bought it. Doesn't make for a very exciting christmas. Or something more lude....say you buy a dirty video. What is your signifigant other going to think? hope it isn't in the 2girls1cup genre! you'd have some explaining to do then!
Some people get it. others are trying to change it. but when will the masses get it? these companies are evil. don't trust companies with your privacy when all they are trying to do is make money. especially when you have a jaggoff like zuckerberg running it. the only way a site like socialx.net won't work is if people don't find out about it....
